Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, around 6:10 in the evening, an accident between a pedestrian and a car left one individual dead. Officers from the TPD said the accident was reported in the 1700 block of Troup Highway in Tyler, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Tyler Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified pedestrian was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Troup Highway. Officials believe the victim may have been coming from Fuzzy’s Tacos before the incident. Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Tyler.
Officers are still investigating.
