Details:
On or about Monday, January 24th, 2022, around 10:23 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 500 block of Veterans Memorial Drive in San Angelo, Texas.
Officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly veered off the side of the road and crashed into the Concho River below. Emergency responders rushed the driver of the vehicle to Shannon Medical Center where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, San Angelo is about 182 miles south of Lubbock.
Investigators are still working to pin down the circumstances surrounding the accident.
