Details:
On or about Sunday, February 13th, 2022, a serious hit-and-run car accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Deputies from the HCSO said the accident was reported along the West Sam Houston Tollway in Houston, Texas.
Investigators from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as they were standing near the scene of a previous accident. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the incident. Officials did not mention any other injuries.
Police said the driver of the vehicle may have been driving erratically in the moments before the accident.
Officials are still investigating.
