Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, around 7:00 in the morning, a major accident between a pedestrian and a truck left one individual dead. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along East Loop 820 near the Interstate 30 exit in Fort Worth, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing truck as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on East Loop 820. Authorities did not specify if the victim died at the scene or if they were rushed to a nearby hospital by EMS where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
Police did not indicate if the truck was commercial in nature, or a pickup truck. Nor did they say if the truck stayed at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of East Loop 820 and Interstate 30 is on the east side of Fort Worth.
