Details:
On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, a major cement truck rollover accident left one person dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 7500 block of Destination Way in Lago Vista, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the cement truck they were in allegedly drove off the side of the road and rolled while negotiating a curve on Destination Way. Paramedics pronounced one person dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 35 miles northwest of downtown Austin.
Police are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the incident.
