Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 14th, 2021, around 8:41 in the morning, an accident between a car, a cement truck, and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported at the intersection of North Desert Boulevard and Transmountain Drive in El Paso, Texas.
Investigators said they believe a cement truck experienced a brake failure of some kind when it allegedly struck a tractor-trailer and a car. The driver of the cement truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while two other people were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials did not indicate which vehicles the injured were in at the time of the crash.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Transmountain Drive and North Desert Boulevard is on the far north side of El Paso.
