On or about Sunday, November 14th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a commercial van and a pickup truck left one person dead and sent two other people to the hospital. Authorities from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 7400 block of South Ashland Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a commercial van allegedly ran a red light and struck a pickup truck on South Ashland Avenue. Paramedics transported a passenger in the commercial van, as well as the driver and passenger in the pickup truck to a nearby hospital, where the passenger from the commercial van succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
