On or about Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a man riding a bicycle left one individual dead. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 800 block of East Division Street in Arlington, Texas.

Police officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing Acura TSX passenger vehicle as they were riding their bike along, or across East Division Street. Emergency responders rushed the man on the bicycle to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Acura TSX, identified only as a 28-year-old man, was unhurt in the incident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the center of Arlington, which is situated about 20 miles west of downtown Dallas.

Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
