Details:
On or about Friday, April 15th, 2022, a serious two-vehicle accident left one individual dead and resulted in murder charges for another. Spokespeople from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Hempstead Road in Houston, Texas.
Authorities from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car was allegedly struck by another vehicle that ran a red light while evading a police stop along Hempstead Road. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of their injuries a short time after the collision.
Officials have since identified the driver of the other vehicle as 21-year-old Damian West, who currently faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from West Little York Road.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
