On or about Sunday, June 26th, 2022, around 10:00 in the morning, a two-vehicle car accident with an alleged drunk driver left a 22-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of South Collins Street and East Arbrook Boulevard in Arlington, Texas.

Representatives from the Arlington Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified 22-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was in was allegedly hit by another car that ran a red light at the intersection of South Collins Street and East Arbook Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead after the accident.

Officials identified the driver of the other vehicle as 23-year-old Bryan LIzarzaburo Penafiel, who has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
