On or about Monday, March 14th, 2022, around 2:20 in the morning, a serious suspected alcohol related accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Gulf Freeway at or near the exchange with Scott Street in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian at the scene of a previous accident. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the accident.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly admitted to drinking before the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
