Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, around 11:30 at night, an accident between an alleged drunk driver and another vehicle left a 21-year-old dead. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Pat Booker Road and Live Oak Crossing in Live Oak, Texas.
Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said a 21-year-old driver was killed when the vehicle she was in was struck by an alleged drunk driver who may have failed to yield at the intersection of Pat Booker Road and Live Oak Crossing. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after the accident.
Officials have since identified the driver of the other vehicle as 32-year-old William James Ballestro, who has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 18 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
