On or about Sunday, February 20th, 2022, around 12:30 in the morning, an accident between an alleged drunk driver and a pedestrian left one man dead. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along West Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas.
Officers from the Dallas Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or tried to cross the lanes of West Northwest Highway. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries after the accident.
Police have since arrested the driver of the car and charged her with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the incident is a short distance north of downtown Dallas.
Authorities are still investigating.
