Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident with an alleged drunk driver, a tow truck, and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 400 block of West Little York Road in Houston, Texas.
Authorities from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when a pickup truck driven by Sergio Davila-Rodriguez allegedly crossed over the center line of West Little York Road and struck her car, pushing the car into the path of a nearby tow truck. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the passenger vehicle dead a short time after the accident.
Officials have since charged Sergio Davila-Rodriguez with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
Police are still examining the factors that contributed to the crash.
