Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, around 8:22 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a cyclist left one individual dead. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of near East 21st Avenue and North 15th Street in Tampa, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified cyclist was killed when they were allegedly struck by a dump truck while they were riding their bike near the exchange of near East 21st Avenue and North 15th Street. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene, or if they were taken to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of near East 21st Avenue and North 15th Street is on the east side of Tampa.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
