On or about Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, around 2:00 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle dump truck accident left one person dead. Troopers from the NYSP said the accident was reported along Route 23 in Greene County, New York.
Local law enforcement personnel said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a dump allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and crashed into two residences a short distance off the pavement. One person was pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene, but police did not specify if it was the driver of the truck, or an occupant in one of the homes.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Ashland.
