On or about Thursday, December 10th, 2020, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and an SUV claimed the life of one individual. Deputies from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at the intersection of County Highway P and Highway H in Dellona, Wisconsin.

Authorities from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the Toyota Highlander they were driving was allegedly struck by a dump truck while turning from westbound County Highway P to Highway H. The dump truck was traveling east on Highway H when it struck the Highlander.

Paramedics pronounced one occupant in the Highlander dead at the scene of the collision.

Google Maps shows Dellona is located about 59 miles northwest of Madison.

State and local law enforcement is still investigating the accident.
