Details:
On or about Saturday, March 20th, 2021, an accident between a dump truck and a pedestrian in a wheelchair claimed the life of one woman. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Joseph E Lowery Boulevard Northwest in Atlanta, Georgia.
Police from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified woman in a wheelchair was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing dump truck. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.
According to Google Maps, Joseph E Lowery Boulevard runs north and south just northwest of downtown Atlanta.
Police hope to release more information in the coming days.
