Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a cyclist left one person dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Loop 494 in Kingwood, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were struck by a dump truck as they were riding their bike along or across the lanes of Loop 494. Paramedics pronounced the cyclist dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, Kingwood is about 27 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
