On or about Monday, November 22nd, 2021, around 4:05 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and a pedestrian left a woman dead. Deputies from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of West 117th Street and Clifton Boulevard in Lakewood, Ohio.
Police spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a dump truck while she was crossing West 117th Street in the crosswalk at Clifton Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 6 miles west of downtown Cleveland.
Authorities are still examining the accident.
