On or about Wednesday, July 28th, 2021, around 2:00 in the morning, an accident between two cars and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Authorities from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on the westbound side of the Eisenhower Expressway at or near the exchange with Ashland Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when two cars and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down the Eisenhower Expressway near the Ashland Avenue exit. Paramedics pronounced the one individual dead after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from th eaccident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of the Eisenhower Expressway and Ashland Avenue is a short distance east of downtown Chicago.
Police are still investigating the collision.
