Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 13th, 2021, around 2:50 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a dump truck left one individual dead. State Police said the accident was reported in the southbound lanes of Interstate 295 in West Deptford, New Jersey.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the dump truck they were in and a FedEx tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. Authorities said the dump truck partially rolled in front of the FedEx tractor-trailer after the accident. Emergency responders pronounced one person in the dump truck dead at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 15 miles south of downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania near the Delaware River.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
