Details:
On or about Monday, November 9th, 2020, around 6:47 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a FedEx truck left one man dead, and sent several others to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened on Highway 93 just outside McGill in White Pine County, Nevada.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 63-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck allegedly crossed from the southbound lanes and struck a northbound FedEx box truck. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead at the scene, while the driver of the FedEx truck and other occupants of the pickup were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Looking at this stretch of Highway 89 on Google Streetview shows a two lane roadway that cuts north and south through a rural, desert area. McGill is located about 255 miles north of Las Vegas.
Nevada State Police and Deputies from the White Pine Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
