On or about Thursday, January 27th, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, a serious car accident left one individual dead and sent five others to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along the Interstate 35 frontage road near Lone Oak Road in Valley View, Texas.
Deputies from the Cooke County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and five others were injured when a passenger vehicle crashed under unspecified conditions while driving down I-35. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead, while five others were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
Authorities did not elaborate on any details of the accident, or how many vehicles may have been involved, but noted the person that died was a Valley View ISD student.
Police are still investigating.
