Details:

On or about Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one child dead and sent five individuals to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 377 in Kimble County, Texas.

Texas DPS Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified child was killed, while Martha Gabriela Ramirez, two other adults, and one other child were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into their SUV after the SUV spun on the icy roads. Paramedics pronounced one child dead a short time after the accident, while Ramirez and four other occupants were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Derek La Tray James Scurry.

According to Google Maps, Kimble County is situated roughly 120 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.
