On or about Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, around 8:00 at night, an accident between a truck towing a trailer and a passenger vehicle left one person dead and sent five others to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 45 in Walker County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and five others, including two children, were injured when a truck towing a trailer allegedly slammed into the back of the vehicle they were in along I-45. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead, while five others were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the exchange with Farm-to-Market Road 1375.
Police are still investigating the accident.
