On or about Saturday, May 21st, 2022, around 7:45 at night, a major single-vehicle car accident left one child dead and sent four other people to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Highway 64 in Rusk County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified 5-year-old child was killed, while Edna Grinaldo, Iliana Ayala, and two other children were injured when the SUV they were in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 64 and rolled a short distance off the pavement.
