Details:
On or about Friday, June 10th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, a major wrong-way car accident left one person dead and sent four others to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in Temple, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were driving allegedly hit another car head-on while driving the wrong direction on Interstate 35. Emergency responders pronounced the wrong-way driver dead after the accident, while a woman and three children in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Mesa Ridge Parkway.
Authorities are still investigating.
