Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a box truck left one man dead. Authorities said the accident happened along Dunklin Bridge Road just outside Simpsonville in Greenville County, South Carolina.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when their SUV allegedly struck the bac of a stopped garbage truck. One person in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived. The driver of the garbage truck was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Streetview, Dunklin Bridge Road runs north and south through a rural, residential area with two lanes. Simpsonville is situated roughly 14 miles southeast of Greenville.
Representatives from several agencies are still investigating the accident.
