On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 5:50 in the morning, a major accident between a motorcycle and a garbage truck left one individual dead. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along North 10th Street in San Jose, California.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the motorcycle they were on was allegedly hit by a garbage truck that was turning onto North 10th Street at the intersection with Commercial Street. Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if they died at the scene or after being taken to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of North 10th Street and Commercial Street is on the north side of San Jose.
Police are still looking into the accident.
