On or about Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, around 7:45 in the morning, a serious accident between an SUV and a grain truck left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Officials from the area said the accident was reported at the intersection of 246th Street and Blondo Street in Waterloo, Nebraska.

Spokespeople from the Nebraska State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the SUV they were in allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of 254th Street and Blondo Street when it collided with a grain truck in the intersection. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the SUV dead a short time after the accident, while the driver of the grain truck was treated for unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of Blondo Street and 264th Street is on the southwest side of Waterloo.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
