Details:
On or about Sunday, November 28th, 2021, around 5:45 in the afternoon, a hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one person dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of West Airline Drive and Gulf Bank Road in Meadowviewland, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes at or near the intersection of West Airline Drive and Gulf Bank Road. The vehicle fled the scene after the incident. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 11 miles north of downtown Houston.
Police are still looking for the offending vehicle.
