Details:
On or about Sunday, June 5th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a serious hit-and-run car accident left one woman dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along East Ben White Boulevard in Austin, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing motorist while she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Ben White Boulevard. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene of the incident. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
