Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, around 11:30 at night, a major hit-and-run accident with a pedestrian left one person dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Harwin Drive and Boone Road in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the roadway. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. The pedestrian died a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if they died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the west side of Houston.
Police are still investigating.
