Details:
On or about Saturday, April 16th, 2022, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 19-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Martin Luther King Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified 19-year-old was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Martin Luther King Boulevard. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene and crashed a short distance down the roadway. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the accident, while the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
