On or about Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, a hit-and-run accident with several possible vehicles and a pedestrian left one person dead. Representatives from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of S. Zarzamora Street and Gillette Boulevard in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by one or several vehicles as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic near S. Zarzamora Street and Gillette Boulevard. After the initial accident, the vehicle or vehicles fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of S. Zarzamora Street and Gillette Boulevard is on the south side of San Antonio.
Police are still looking for the drivers or vehicles that fled the scene.
