Details:
On or about Thursday, November 5th, 2020, around 5:05 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV claimed the life of one person. Illinois State Police said the accident happened on Route 24 outside Chenoa in McLean County, Illinois.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their SUV and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions near the intersection with County Road 2950 East. First responders pronounced one person in the SUV dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities did not mention if the truck driver was injured.
Reviewing the scene of the accident on Google Streetview shows Quarterbelt Road (Route 24) is two lanes that run east and west through Chenoa in McLean County. Chenoa is located about 115 miles south of Chicago.
