Details:
On or about Monday, October 4th, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a tow truck left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 20 near the exchange with Marina Drive in Mendocino, California.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a tow truck that was towing a pickup allegedly drove over the center line of Highway 20 and struck a box truck. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the tow truck dead a short time after the accident, while the driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of accident is not far from the northern shore of Mendocino Lake.
Officials are still investigating.
