On or about Monday, September 27th, 2021, around 4:11 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer and a box truck left one man dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department said the accident occurred along State Road 20 in Ukiah, California.

Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and another was taken to the hospital after a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and struck a box truck head-on. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck towing the flatbed trailer died a short time after the collision, while the driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, State Road 20 runs east and west just north of Ukiah, which is about 115 miles north of San Francisco.
