On or about Monday, February 14th, 2022, a major two-vehicle car accident left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 8973 in Austin, Texas.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when a passenger vehicle allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and hit a pickup truck in the oncoming lanes. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
