Details:
On or about Monday, December 20th, 2021, around 4:35 in the morning, a two-vehicle accident left one individual dead and sent another to the hospital. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 45 near the exchange with Loop 12 in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas.
Officers from the DPD said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the car she was driving allegedly struck the back of an SUV that was working to secure part of a work zone on the side of I-45. Paramedics pronounced the woman in the car dead a short time after the accident, while the driver of the SUV, a retired police officer, was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the south side of Dallas.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
