On or about Monday, May 23rd, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a serious two-vehicle car accident left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Officials from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the MoPac Expressway in Austin, Texas.
Officials from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when the vehicles they were in collided under unspecified circumstances along the MoPac Expressway. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead, while another was rushed to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northbound side of the expressway.
Police are still investigating the crash.
