On or about Friday, March 25th, 2022, around 2:55 in the afternoon, an accident between a private bus and a passenger vehicle left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 90 near the exchange with Busse Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Officials from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another woman was injured when a private bus allegedly changed lanes or swerved into another nearby vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the bus dead, while the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.
Police are still investigating the accident.
