On or about Monday, November 1st, 2021, around 12:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck, a pickup truck, and a passenger vehicle left a California woman dead, and sent one man to the hospital. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along the Kuhio Highway in Wailua on the Island of Kaua’i, Hawaii.
Law enforcement representatives said an as-of-yet unidentified 67-year-old woman was killed, while a 65-year-old man was injured when a dump truck allegedly rear-ended the car they were in, pushing it into oncoming traffic and into the path of a pickup truck. Paramedics pronounced a passenger in the car dead, while the driver was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured in the accident.
