Details:
On or about Thursday, October 28th, 2021, around 12:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a flatbed tow truck and a passenger vehicle left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported on Route 46 in Rockaway Borough, New Jersey.
Investigators from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when the SUV they were in and a flatbed tow truck collided under unspecified circumstances along Route 46. Emergency responders transported the driver and the passenger of the SUV to nearby Morristown Hospital where the driver died of their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, Route 46 cuts east and west through Rockaway Borough, which is about 24 miles northwest of downtown Newark.
