On or about Saturday, November 6th, 2021, around 9:28 in the evening, an accident between a tow truck and a car claimed the life of a tow truck driver and sent one other person to the hospital. Officials from the PSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near Loganton in Clinton County, Pennsylvania.

Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a passenger vehicle allegedly crashed into a tow truck that was assisting a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of I-80. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the tow truck, who may have been outside the vehicle at the time of the crash, dead a short time after EMS arrived. The driver of the car was cut from the wreckage and treated for unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 runs east and west just north of Loganton, which is about 174 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
