On or about Thursday, October 22nd, 2020, around 8:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer hauling cars and a flatbed truck left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Officials said the accident happened on Interstate 77 near mile marker 55 in Chester County, South Carolina.

Investigators said that one person was killed and another was seriously hurt when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly changed lanes and struck a flatbed truck. The passenger in the tractor-trailer was pronounced dead after the crash, while the driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Examining Interstate 77 on Google Maps shows a north and southbound roadway with a wide, grassy median dividing the directions of traffic. Chester County sits about 60 miles north of Columbia.
