On or about Saturday, June 19th, 2021, around 12:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Police said the accident was reported in the 2800 block of Dimmitt Road in Plainview, Texas.
Deputies from the Hale County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and another was rushed to the hospital when the Dodge Challenger they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. One person was pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, while another occupant was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Dimmit Road runs east and west through Plainview, with the scene of the accident located not far from the exchange with Interstate 27.
