Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead and sent another person to the hospital. Troopers from the DSP said the accident was reported along the South DuPont Highway in Harrington, Delaware.
Representatives from the Delaware State Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 18-year-old woman was killed and an 18-year-old man was injured when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that turned into their path along South DuPont Highway. Paramedics pronounced an 18-year-old passenger in the car dead of her injuries, while the driver was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the South DuPont Highway winds north and south through Harrington.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
