UPDATE: The deceased tractor-trailer driver has been identified as 59-year-old Gulf Shores, Alabama resident Charles Eugene Pearce Jr.
On or about Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, at or around 5:11 in the afternoon, one person was killed and another was injured when a tractor-trailer hauling cars crashed in Birmingham, Alabama.
Police representatives said that a tractor-trailer veered off the ramp connecting Interstate 65 and Interstate 59/20, and that one occupant was pronounced dead a short time after the crash. One other person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
